In the growth journey of a contemporary company, sustainability is no longer an option or a simple ideal, but a measurable and essential strategic asset.
With this awareness, LAV.EL. GROUP has chosen to submit for the first time the operational, environmental and ethical processes of LAV.EL. GOMMA to the rigorous evaluation of EcoVadis, one of the most authoritative and globally recognized corporate sustainability rating providers.
We earned the Bronze Medal, officially placing us among the top 35% of companies evaluated globally. This result recognizes the synergy and commitment of all our corporate entities in translating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into concrete daily actions.
Looking to the next milestone: Silver goal
The bronze medal represents a solid foundation to build on, not a finish line to rest on. With a score of 67 points out of 100, the threshold for obtaining the silver medal (set at 73/100) is close, and we’re already working on it!
The ecological and ethical transition is a complex challenge, but we have demonstrated that we have all it takes to lead it as a protagonist.
The four pillars of evaluation.
The EcoVadis evaluation model analyses company performance using international standards based on four fundamental macro-areas:
1. Environment: optimizing resources, responsible management of materials, and implementing innovative solutions (such as our eco-friendly and PFAS-free surface treatments).
2. Labor Practices and Human Rights: protecting workplace safety, enhancing human capital, and promoting a fair and inclusive work environment.
3. Ethics: transparency in trade flows, fairness in business practices, and strict compliance with current regulations.
4. Sustainable procurement: monitoring and qualifying the supply chain to ensure that our suppliers also operate in compliance with the highest ethical and environmental standards.
A solid starting score: 67/100 Entering the select circle of EcoVadis certified companies with a score of 67/100 on the first attempt is proof that the path taken by management and the entire technical and operational team is the right one.
This milestone sends a strong signal to our business partners, suppliers, and international customers, confirming that behind every one of our products is a responsible supply chain.
We are already working to analyze the areas for further efficiency improvements identified in the EcoVadis report, with a very clear company goal: to achieve and obtain the silver medal by the end of the year, during the next evaluation session.
